New NCAA Account Type Available

Required for International Prospective Student-Athletes Enrolling in Division III, Starting 2023-24

To support legislative proposal 2022-2, which was adopted during the 2022 Convention by the Division III membership, and meet the needs of our Division III member schools, the Eligibility Center has introduced a new account type for international prospective student-athletes impacted by this change. The new Amateurism-Only Certification account is now available when student-athletes register with the Eligibility Center at eligibilitycenter.org.
The Amateurism-Only Certification account is required for all international prospective student-athletes (first year attendees and transfers) initially enrolling in a Division III school during the 2023-24 academic year. The Eligibility Center provides only an amateurism certification for students with this account type. This account includes a $70 registration fee for all student-athletes.
  • For more information on the process, review the Eligibility Center's Regional Rules presentation.
  • More than 100 Division III member schools have already created their school's Eligibility Center account via MyApps. If your school has yet to create an account, click here for instructions. An EC account for each Division III member school is needed to:
    • Establish contacts from your school who will serve as the primary point of communication with the Eligibility Center and manage those contacts.
    • Access the EC's Membership Portal.
    • Access members-only resources and information.
    • Add international recruits to your school's IRL.
    • Monitor progress on each international recruit's certification process.
  • For assistance using the Membership Portal, click here to watch the EC's Division III webinar.
  • Click here for a one-page flyer (shown below) to share with your recruits that outlines Division III amateurism certification requirements.
Please note: International prospective student-athletes who have registered with an Academic and Amateurism Certification account (previously titled "Certification account") do not need to create a new account and should maintain their original account.

Division III Amateurism Flyer

As part of the Eligibility Center's ongoing support to Division III members, a one-page flyer outlining Division III amateurism certification requirements is now available. This flyer outlines the requirement for international prospective student-athletes to register with the Eligibility Center, create an Amateurism-Only Certification account and receive an amateurism certification. Click here to share this resource with these student-athletes and their families/advocates to help clarify the process and ensure your recruits are ready to compete when they get to campus!
