What Do Your Athletes Need?

Understand which Eligibility Center account type is right!

For student-athletes wanting to play at an NCAA Division I, II or III school, knowing which Eligibility Center account type is right for them is critical. The right Eligibility Center account is an important step in the process toward certification.
When registering at eligibilitycenter.org, there are three account options. Which account they need depends on where they are in the recruiting process and which division they plan to attend, among other factors. Click here for more information on which account is the right one for your student-athletes.
Keep in mind: Best practice is to start out with a free Profile Page account (option 1) as early as sixth grade but before the start of ninth grade, then transition to the right Certification account later when needed. Encourage your student-athletes to reach out to the Eligibility Center's Customer Service team at 877-262-1492 if they have questions when creating an account.

NLI Signing Dates

Do your athletes know the time period they are eligible to sign an NLI for their sport? If not, review the NLI website to look at the signing periods for all the different sports. Be sure to share this website and these dates with your student-athletes!

Sport Science Institute: Concussion in Sport

A group of more than 100 expert researchers and clinicians from around the world has released an updated consensus statement on concussion in sport, which includes new scientific evidence and revised recommendations on concussion diagnosis, management and prevention.

Committees and task forces involved in the development and management of health and safety recommendations for NCAA members, including the Concussion Safety Advisory Group and Committee on Competitive Safeguards and Medical Aspects of Sports, will review this guidance and consider updates to current member resources, such as the Concussion Safety Protocol Checklist and Concussion Safety Fact Sheets.

The consensus statement on concussion in sport is based on the outcomes from the sixth International Conference on Concussion in Sport, held in Amsterdam in October 2022 and published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine. Researchers and investigators have been collaborating for five years toward the final consensus statement and 10 accompanying subspecialty articles.
