International Initial-Eligibility Resources

Key Information for Your Student-Athletes!

Looking for information to help you or your college-bound student-athletes understand the NCAA Eligibility Center's certification requirements? The International Initial-Eligibility Flyer is a great resource for your student-athletes as they pursue playing athletics at the next level. This resource walks through the different requirements that international student-athletes are required to meet to compete in college athletics.

This resource is also available in German, French, Portuguese and Spanish. Click here to view other non-English language resources.

2024 Grads: Final Official High School Transcripts and Proof of Graduation Needed

For students who graduated in spring 2024, students should ask their school to submit certified copies of your academic documents (and translated documents, if applicable) to the Eligibility Center after graduation.
  • If English is not the native language, the certified copies of your documents translated by a certified translator must be submitted along with the certified copies in the native language.
  • Please note: The Eligibility Center cannot return documents; submit certified copies only.

How High Schools Can Help

International high schools and ministry offices may directly email official academic records for use in academic certifications to the NCAA Eligibility Center at ec-processing@ncaa.org.
  • Certified documents must be emailed from a school email address. (Emails submitted from general email providers, such as Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, etc., cannot be accepted.)
  • All submitted documents must include the student’s name and NCAA ID number. Best practice is to include the student’s name and NCAA ID in the subject line of the email.

How the NCAA Recruiting School Can Help
Student-athletes should contact the compliance office of the school recruiting them for information on their submission process.
