It All Starts Here!

Hi ,

Welcome to the NCAA Eligibility Center! When you signed up for your account, you mentioned you went to secondary school in the United Kingdom.

The Eligibility Center knows about your education system and is here to help you understand what information we need to complete your certification.
Take the following steps to submit your official academic documents as soon as possible.

1. Collect Your Original Certificates

Collect General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) certificates for all subjects, along with any additional certificates that you have earned. This includes AS- and/or A-level certificates, BTEC Level 3 and/or BTEC Level 3 Extended Diplomas, NVQ Level 2 and/or NVQ Level 3 certificates, or other documents listed in the United Kingdom academic guidelines.
Haven’t received a certificate yet? See step 2 below for certificates not yet awarded. Note: School-printed documents are not sufficient. See examples below of what will be needed.

2. Email the Graduation Timeline Conformation Form to Your School to Complete

If you're graduating this school year, have your secondary school complete Section B of this form to confirm you are currently in school and what you will be earning at the end of this school year (BTEC Level 3 Diploma, A-levels, etc).

3. Ask Your School to Submit Your Transcripts

If you are missing GCSEs in any of the five areas below, transcripts may be requested on your NCAA account. Ask your secondary school to submit official, school-stamped copies of your transcripts for years nine and up. This includes Form 3 Reports (sometimes referred to as "Key Stage 3 reports" or "tutor reports"), along with your Form 4 and Form 5 reports (sometimes referred to as your "predicted GCSE grades").
  • Ensure your transcripts show start and end dates for each academic year, and a final course grade for each term.

Required Subjects

When reviewing your GCSE’s we are looking for the following five subject passes:
  1. English.
Examples: English language, English Literature, etc.
  2. Mathematics.
  3. Natural or Physical Science.
    Examples: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, etc.
Combined Science: Trilogy – “Double Award” GCSEs count as two separate exam passes.
  4. Social Science.
Examples: History, Geography, Law, Government, etc.
  5. Additional.
This can be an additional exam from any subject area above or a language.
Note: Click here for additional subjects that may count. More examples of acceptable subjects in each of the five areas can be found in the Course Title Usage Guide.

4. Submit All Documents

Once you have collected everything you need for your Eligibility Center account, provide these documents to your secondary school (or NCAA school recruiting you) to submit on your behalf. To be official documents must come directly from your secondary school or an NCAA school. Click here to learn how they can submit official academic documents.
  • All documents must be submitted directly from the secondary school or organization responsible for creating the document. This means you cannot submit your own academic documents.
  • The school must email ec-processing@ncaa.org with your documents (including your Graduation Timeline Confirmation Form) attached and with your full name and NCAA ID in the subject line.
  • Password-protected documents or links to documents for download cannot be accepted.
