Differences Between NCAA Divisions I, II and III
What You Should ExpectThe NCAA’s three divisions were created in 1973 to align like-minded campuses in the areas of fairness, competition and opportunity.

Division I schools may provide tuition and fees, room and board, books and other expenses related to attendance at the school.

Division II full scholarships cover tuition and fees, room and board, and course-related books and supplies.

Division III schools do not offer athletics scholarships.
