Recent Governance Meetings - Key Discussions and Outcomes.

Hosting recommendations. The committee reviewed and discussed recommended non-predetermined preliminary round hotel policies.
Ticket pricing. The committee will begin a review of championships ticket pricing to assess the landscape and establish consistency among all Division III championships at a future meeting.

The committee will work with conference commissioners to collect data for its evaluation.

Name, Image and Likeness. The committee reviewed recent changes in Division I (and proposed changes in Division II) regarding institutional involvement with student-athlete NIL activities. The committee did not recommend similar changes at this time and noted that the Division III guidance document is available on the Division III compliance page on ncaa.org.
Deregulation of professional sports wagering. The committee was provided an overview of the sports betting environment as well as an update on discussions regarding harm reduction strategies.

The committee will continue its discussion during its October meeting with potential deregulation recommendations to be considered by Management Council.
Membership Committee, Sept. 19 2025 Convention legislative proposals. The committee took a position of support on the membership sponsored proposal to change the minimum number of member institutions required for conference membership from seven to six.
