Changes to NCAA Core-Course Legislation and Process

NCAA Divisions I and II voted to change the NCAA core-course legislation. There is no longer a separate set of requirements for nontraditional courses. The updated requirements are effective for core-course reviews occurring on or after Aug. 1, 2024. Additional information on this helpful change was included in the August edition of this newsletter.
Need additional assistance? Contact the Eligibility Center’s high school support line at 877-622-2321, Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern time.

Update Your Eligibility Center Contact List

Each high school and district with an Eligibility Center account has one primary and one secondary contact. These contacts should have access to curriculum and student records and the bandwidth to have ongoing engagement with the Eligibility Center. Once logged in to the High School Portal, contacts can submit core-courses, upload student transcripts, respond to tasks and more.
To learn how to update your high school or district’s primary or secondary contacts, review the How to Reset Contact Information resource for high schools or districts.

Early Graduates: Request Final Amateurism

Do you have students graduating this December?
Students enrolling for the first time at an NCAA Division I or II school and international students enrolling for the first time at a Division III school starting in winter/spring 2025 will be able to request their final amateurism certification starting Oct. 1.
If your students have questions regarding requesting their final amateurism certification, send them this YouTube video. They can also contact the Eligibility Center's customer service team at 877-262-1492, Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern time.

Upload Sixth Semester Transcripts

Visit the High School Portal to upload six-semester transcripts for your incoming senior student-athletes. If you have never uploaded a student-athlete's transcript, click here to learn how. If you have a student-athlete with transcripts from multiple semesters needing uploaded, please do so at your earliest opportunity so that the Eligibility Center may complete preliminary reviews.
