DIVERSITY & INCLUSION QUARTERLY UPDATE
FEBRUARY 2023

Inside Perspective

We asked Jahiem Peake, a student-athlete at John Carroll and recent participant in the Student Immersion Program, a few questions.

You recently attended the NCAA Convention.  What was most memorable?  Being a participant in the Student Immersion Program was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. The early days and late nights, just after the short three days we spent together, it was like you had met your new lifelong friends with the same career goals in mind.

As your campus SAAC president, what are key initiatives you have accomplished?  A few key initiatives we have implemented at John Carroll are financial planning for outgoing seniors and mental health consultations to help student-athletes cope with no longer playing their sport
