Request Final Amateurism Opens April 1

For Fall 2024 Enrollees

Starting April 1, students initially enrolling in the fall 2024 semester can request their final amateurism certification via their Eligibility Center account. Before making this request, fall 2024 enrollees must select the NCAA enrollment period that reflects initial full-time enrollment at their first NCAA Division I, II, or III school.
Please continue using the “Open Tasks Report – Action Required” report to identify accounts with the “Incomplete Sports Participation Response” task to determine which students need to update their sports participation questionnaire before requesting final amateurism certification. After making the request, make sure your students promptly respond to newly assigned tasks, including requests for academic records needed to assign graduation dates.

2024-25 CARP and SRP Guidelines Available

For amateurism certifications, the 2024-25 Division I Council Approved Review Process (CARP) guidelines and the 2024-25 Division II Streamlined Review Process (SRP) guidelines are posted on the Eligibility Center's Membership Portal.

Note: Previous CARP policies related to minimal competition and low-level/minimally organized participation are now legislated (via the adoption of Division I Proposal 2023-50 in January 2024) and thus have been removed from the 2024-25 CARP guidelines.

For Division II, SRP guidelines did not change for the 2024-25 academic year.

Upcoming Webinar for DI and DII Compliance Administrators

March 27, 2-3 p.m. Eastern Time

Need help getting ready for this summer's certification season? Click here to register and join NCAA Eligibility Center staff tomorrow at 2 p.m. Eastern time for the latest on upcoming changes to EC policies that may impact your recruits. Hundreds of your colleagues have already registered and will be live with our team. Registrants will be the first to receive a link to the recording and the presentation. Don't miss this engaging discussion on seasonal reminders and best practices you can implement on your campus this spring!

Reminder on Contracts

For amateurism certifications, a contract task will be assigned for potential professional team involvement. If a contract with a professional team is not written in English, an official certified line-by-line English translation (from a qualified translator) must also be provided (in addition to a native language version) to proceed with the certification. Requiring an official translation aligns with the approach for academic records and applies to the 2024-25 certification cycle and beyond.

Submission of Academic Documents COVID Policy Sunsetting April 30, 2024

As a reminder, official academic records are required for initial-eligibility certifications. If only unofficial records are available for students who initially enroll full time in the 2023-24 academic year, they may be submitted to ec-processing@ncaa.org directly from the email address associated with the student’s EC account and should include the student’s NCAA ID in the subject line.

Note: This policy will expire as of April 30, 2024. Starting May 1, 2024, official academic records will be required and must be submitted via an approved channel for domestic and international students.
