December 2024

Are Your Midyear Enrollees Ready?

With the winter/spring term fast approaching, here are a few reminders for your midyear enrollees:
  • Within their Eligibility Center account, each of your recruits is required to indicate their enrollment period (which reflects their initial term of full-time enrollment at any NCAA member school). Please ensure your midyear enrollees (including those who are delaying enrollment until this term, incoming transfer students and walk-ons) have selected the correct term or direct them to update their enrollment period.
  • All midyear enrollees are eligible to request final amateurism certification as of Oct. 1. This step must be completed before a final amateurism certification will begin.
  • Students should also review and update their sports participation history. To locate accounts for students who have not entered any information about sports participation, you should use the “Open Tasks Report – Action Required” option in the Additional Reports section of the Membership Portal.
  • Be sure to activate recruits enrolling in the winter/spring 2025 term to your 2024-25 IRL.
  • Monitor the task list for each student and work with each student to make sure they are responding to open tasks as soon as possible.
  • If you need to submit a matriculation date for a recruit, log in to the Membership Portal and click on the Resources tab. The Matriculation Date Form link is located in the Eligibility Center Forms section of the right-hand column.

Did You Know?

Customer Service Case Manager Option

In those special situations where you have a complex case review of a student's account and one staff member understands the extensive details of the account, you have the option to request this staff to be the primary point of contact for communication. Making this request means the requested staff member will be your one contact to help you through the resolution of the amateurism certifications.

Eligibility Center Holiday Office Closure

The Eligibility Center will be closed Monday, Dec. 23 through Wednesday, Jan. 1. Normal business hours will resume Thursday, Jan. 2. Please email ecinfo@ncaa.org for any emergency situations over the holiday closure. On behalf of all of us at the Eligibility Center, have a safe and happy holiday! We look forward to working with you in 2025!
