Supporting Early Graduates

Upload Transcripts and Proof of Graduation

Do you have student-athletes graduating early? Upload their final transcripts and proof of graduation as soon as possible. When you submit a final official transcript with proof of graduation to a student-athlete’s Eligibility Center account, that account becomes “Ready to Process— Final.” This means the student’s account is ready to be reviewed for a final certification decision (needed for them to play once they reach their college campus). Remember, a student being recruited by an NCAA Division I or II school must have an Academic and Amateurism Certification account.
If your midyear graduate’s final transcript doesn’t include a proof of graduation notation, you may provide verification of the student's graduation date in letter format. This alternative proof of graduation by letter must be on your school’s letterhead and signed by a high school administrator. Individual letters for each student are required (form letters cannot be accepted) and should include the actual date (month, day, year) the student met graduation requirements.
Note: You may submit proof of graduation letters directly to the Eligibility Center via email at ec-processing@ncaa.org or by fax at 317-968-5100. Click here for additional information about acceptable transcripts and proof of graduation.

Respond to Open Tasks

Do you have open tasks in your high school’s Eligibility Centers account? Monitor the Tasks tab on the High School Portal and respond to requests for information within the noted time frames, as outstanding tasks could delay your students’ academic certification or prevent them from meeting initial-eligibility requirements. Note: This includes monitoring your high school’s fee waiver report and submitting fee waivers, when applicable.

Maintaining Your School’s Core-Course List

If you are your school’s primary or secondary contact with the Eligibility Center, and your school is not part of a unified-curriculum NCAA district account, you are responsible for keeping your school’s NCAA core-course list up to date. This includes adding courses, changing course titles and archiving courses via the High School Portal. For more information on updating your school's core-course list, click here.

Dual-Enrollment Coursework

Dual-enrollment coursework may be used to satisfy NCAA core-course requirements if the courses appear on the student’s high school transcript with grade and credit and meet all requirements for an NCAA-approved core course. College courses must be placed on the student’s high school transcript with a designation that the course was completed through a two- or four-year college. Courses completed at a college should not be submitted for your high school’s list of NCAA courses. However, dual-enrollment courses that meet core-course requirements and are taught by your high school instructors should be submitted for inclusion on your school’s core-course list.

National Letter of Intent Signing Period

The National Letter of Intent signing periods for all other Division I and II sports is here! To sign an NLI, your student-athlete must have a paid Academic and Amateurism Certification account. Click here to view all upcoming NLI signing dates.

Depression is common among people of all ages and all racial, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds.
