End-of-Year Reminders

How to Wrap Up 2024 Strong

1. Check for open tasks.

The Eligibility Center staff routinely assigns tasks to high school and district accounts requesting additional information needed to process students’ academic certifications. It’s important to review your task list often, as outstanding tasks could delay your students’ academic certification or prevent them from meeting initial-eligibility requirements.

2. Update core-course lists.

Update your school's core-course list by visiting the High School Portal. If you believe your school's list is accurate, please log in to verify you have no updates. This will refresh your account and let our team know your core-course list is correct. Note: Submit the course title exactly as it appears on students’ transcripts, including designations with course titles indicating online programs, instructional format, etc., if applicable.

3. Upload transcripts.

Visit the High School Portal to upload final transcripts with proof of graduation for any student-athletes graduating early. Also, please upload four-semester and six-semester transcripts so that the Eligibility Center may complete preliminary reviews for your other students. Note: Transcripts are required from each high school a student attends, so be sure to upload transcripts for students who no longer attend your high school as well.

4. Respond to fee waiver requests.

Visit the High School Portal to respond to fee waiver requests for any student-athletes unable to pay the Eligibility Center registration fee due to financial considerations. Click here for more information on fee waiver criteria.
Need to update your high school’s primary or secondary contact? Log in to the High School Portal and visit Update Contact Info. Click here if you’re a new contact and need access to your high school’s account, but the current primary and secondary contacts are no longer at your high school.

School Presentation Resources

When discussing options after graduation, many schools host "College Nights" or other informational meetings about playing college sports. To request assistance with these events, complete the Presentation Inquiry Form with as much detail as possible. The Eligibility Center also has prepared presentation resources, including the initial-eligibility slide deck, to empower you to give a detailed presentation to your students on NCAA initial-eligibility requirements.

Athletics Aid Agreements

Starting with the 2024-25 academic year, college-bound student-athletes in their senior year of high school will still have the opportunity to sign an athletics aid agreement with their recruiting NCAA Division I or II school but will not sign a separate National Letter of Intent. Additional information on this change was included in the October edition of this newsletter.
