We asked Tiffany Alford, Director of Community Engagement and Inclusive Excellence at UMass Boston, a few questions.
What are your thoughts on the Inclusive Leaders Program? The program is amazing! Everyone has really appreciated the opportunity to have hard conversations around diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, and challenge ourselves to become more knowledgeable of the issues facing our prospective and current student-athletes of color.
What do you enjoy most about being on campus? Definitely being around and getting to know the student-athletes! They have an energy and optimism that is infectious, and they help me keep perspective on what I’m doing and who I’m doing it for.
